Good news! 1WorldSync is looking for an Applications Administrator to join our team.
    1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With approximately 700 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we're seeking an Applications Administrator to support our growing global team.
    Reporting directly to our Director, Applications Operations & DevOps, the Applications Administrator will be part of a team of applications technologists to support and maintain various 1WorldSync SaaS applications and platform based applications used by our customers and staff. This person will utilize Dev/Ops principles and enable the automation of our applications. This role will also collaborate with engineering, infrastructure & security, product, and support teams to deliver application services to our customers and internal users.
    As Applications Administrator at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:
    • A leader as part of an IT Applications team supporting various corporate and commercial systems
    • Support the security of commercial and select corporate applications
    • Deliver and maintain automation solutions for 1WorldSync SaaS applications
    • Ensure adherence to the change control process for 1WorldSync SaaS applications
    • Administrative oversight for the SaaS applications running in QA, UAT and production environments
    • Participate in the maintenance and testing of business continuity plans
    • Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
    • Coordinate troubleshooting for applications related issues with other teams, departments or vendors
    • Support select cloud based platform services
    • Support other reasonable activities related to applications administration as required
    • Support Application releases during scheduled maintenance windows
    • Provide off hours support and on call duties as needed

    Required Skills and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
    • 3 years experience in applications administration, development, deployment, security, or systems administration

    Desired Skills and Experience:
    • Batch scripting - Linux (bash), Windows (Powershell)
    • Deploying and maintaining applications in a containerized environment (docker, Kubernetes)
    • Experience with messaging systems like IBM MQ and B2B messaging solutions / Enterprise Application Integration like Axway including customer facing interaction/troubleshooting.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of and adherence to Kanban for workflow tracking and delivery
    • Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure cloud infrastructure hosting
    • Experience in a SaaS or Internet based enterprise environment

    Additional Details:
    • This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Chicago headquarters location.
    • This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in, and be located in the US.
    • This position requires little to no travel.
