Responsibilities:

• Under the general direction of the VP of Applications, the Director of Applications is responsible for the development, acquisition, implementation, integration and support of complex application and system software.
• This includes initiation and development of feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses and RFPs, business process re-engineering, system analysis, design and programming.
• Provides management and direction to the applications managers and staff and develops policies and performance standards.
• The Director integrates and builds effective and positive working relationships between IS work groups and other areas of BayCare to ensure needs and expectations of the user community are met.
• Conceives, plans and executes a wide variety of important projects of major scope and importance relative to information services.
• Requires a skill for managing the information technology affairs of the enterprise while balancing the operational needs of senior executive staff.
• Additional required skills include experience developing business requirements, business plans and project implementation of major information systems projects with multiple cross disciplinary teams and able to present concepts, ideas and recommendations to IS staff and executive staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required :

• 5 years Applications and
• 5 years Management experience;

• 10 years - Relevant experience with Associates;
• Preferred - 10 years - Healthcare in related field;
• Preferred - 10 years - Systems Related

• Required - Bachelors - Computer Related; Or -
• Bachelors - Related Field;
• Preferred - Masters - Computer Related

• Clinical background
• Cerner EMR
• Clinical applications
• Healthcare system experience

Location: BayCare System Office, Clearwater, FL

Shift Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
