Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for collaborating with Engineering Services Engineers, other subject matter experts and AutoCAD team members in the implementation and execution of daily goals and objectives to deliver a high level of service and consultation that aligns with the goals and objectives of the organization.

DUTIES:

• Provide direct engineering support for internal and external customers as well as distribution channels to promote sound firestop engineering principles through engineering judgments, phone consultation, letters, and other modes of engineering communication.
• Utilize and maintain a thorough knowledge of the products, firestop engineering principles, and construction trends as they relate to the use of firestop products.
• Assist in developing internal and external product testing requirements in accordance with industry standards and building codes based on emerging trends and customer feedback.
• Take part in appropriate continuing education such as participating in industry seminars, witnessing fire testing and/or take courses or classes regarding firestopping, codes and/or standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. in Fire Protection or related engineering discipline (preferred) or 4 years industry related experience.

• HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) Certification
• Comfortable presenting to groups in person or over web conferencing. 
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
