Applications Programming Supervisor supervises the teams and daily activities needed for the analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Monitors operational metrics and processes and implements standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conducts feedback processes, including peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Applications Programming Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Applications Programming Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     4.6.3 BCC Programming Support.


    4.6.3.1 Assist branch leadership to facilitate Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) and Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) duties for BCC, JADOC, North Warning System (NWS), Joint Surveillance System (JSS) and NCR-IADS while ensuring fiscal compliance and execution of programmed funding. Assist and advise branch leadership in the integration of requirements into the annual fiscal programs.

    4.6.3.2 Liaise with system program offices MAJCOM counterparts, and other staff agencies to remain current on BCC weapon system capabilities, developments, and initiatives; advise leadership on policies and positions.

    4.6.3.3 Liaise with appropriate staff offices to ensure major areas of concern are covered by requirement documents;

    planning and programming documents.

    4.6.3.4 Provide support and advice to branch leadership on reprogramming of funds and funding levels due to manpower or other changes.

    4.6.3.5 Actively participate in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques.

    4.6.3.6 Assist in the creation and maintenance of the annual Operations and Maintenance (O&M) budget. Assist branch leadership to coordinate and validate program requirements and actively prioritize unfunded requirements through the fiscal year.

    4.6.3.7 Advise branch leadership on day-to-day funding and programming issues as they pertain to the execution of the current fiscal year budget and the programming of the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).

    4.6.3.8 Review, develop and prepare lead command operational inputs for CC, JADOC, NWS, JSS and NCR-IADS

    programmatic funding (current and modernization).

    4.6.3.9 Analyze costs, schedules, and technical performance of the BCC, JADOC, NWS, JSS and NCR-IADS in

    satisfying warfighter needs.

    4.6.3.10 Review, develop and prepare programmatic documents supporting the BCC, JADOC, NWS, JSS and NCR-IADS program.

    4.6.3.11 Advise and recommend programmatic options to manage and improve BCC processes, procedures, and doctrine; manning levels; efficiency and effectiveness; equipment capabilities; training requirements.

    4.6.3.12 Provide programmatic representation in BCC, JADOC, NWS, JSS and NCR-IADS related exercises, tests,

    experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the BCC, JADOC, NWS, JSS and NCR-IADS and associated infrastructure.

    Experience working Homeland Defense, BCC, JADOC or NCR-IADS weapons systems specifically working warfighter capability requirements to support document development and review, (i.e., capability requirements documents, requirements working groups, task training lists, mission essential tasks, etc.), programs/issues, weapon system capabilities (sensor to glass), developments and initiatives

    Experience working in a Headquarters Staff (NAF, MAJCOM, or above) environment producing decision documents, presenting briefings, building staff packages, coordinating with other staff personnel, working with other major command elements, and interfacing with USAF staffs
