Applications Support Technician provides technical support to the team responsible for a subset of business systems applications. Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis. Being an Applications Support Technician assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Applications Support Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Support Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Envision is looking to add to our Engineering Support Team! This role is the linchpin of our engineering team, providing hands on support and with clients and working with multiple internal departments to ensure a quality experience for our clients.
You can anticipate spending about 80% of your time on-site, between our main office location in Pawtucket as well as assisting at client locations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Desktop level support and remediation for Envision and Clients
· On site and remote support for Envision Technology Advisors consulting practice
· Support a mix of technologies for our clients including a variety of hardware and software solutions
· Serve as a technical resource for project implementation and day to day support
· Maintain inventory of technology that Envision retains for clients
· Maintain technical certifications as required
· Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at any time with or without notice
Desired Technical and Work Experience
· 2 years hands-on experience operating in a NOC Environment
· 2 Bench / technical build-out assistance
· Experience supporting common line of business operating systems and applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc)
· Experience supporting common hardware vendors (Dell, Lenovo, Sonicwall, Fortinet, Extreme, Ubiquiti)
· Experience working in an enterprise level ticketing system
· Working understanding of M365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory
· Excellent communication, documentation, and Customer-facing skills
· A desire to learn other emerging technologies and skills.
· A , Net certification a plus, not required
· Microsoft MS-900 and AZ-900 certifications a plus
