Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and expert technical advice on Technology infrastructure planning, and engineering for assigned systems. This includes responsibility for translating business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements and delivering integrated and sustainable designs for complex or high impact infrastructure systems. This role is also responsible for working with Enterprise Architecture teams to develop the technical direction for infrastructure solutions within various computing environments and systems.

This role leads multiple, complex and cross-functional projects simultaneously, often providing direction and oversight of more junior level engineers supporting the projects within this person's responsibility. This includes collaboration with cross-functional partners as well as senior leadership.

This role is expected to be a subject matter expert for multiple platforms within an infrastructure engineering domain (e.g., network, storage, platform, database, middleware, mainframe).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• 7 years of experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development
• 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience working across multiple domains, platforms, or specialty areas  
• 4 years of experience leading projects with or without direct reports 

• Recent experience installing/configuring/supporting CICS, WebSphere for z/OS and Connect:Direct 

• 3 years of experience with mainframe programming languages (COBOL, Assembler, Sort, Easytrieve, SAS, etc,)

• 3 years of experience managing capacity and performance of CICS environments

• 3 years of experience with WebSphere MQ installation/configuration

• 5 years of experience with mainframe scripting tools (REXX, CLIST, Python)

• 5 years of experience with JCL and IBM and vendor batch utilities

• 5 years of experience managing/installing software with SMP/E

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field 
• 2 years of work experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management (i.e., Director level or higher)
• 4 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
• 4 years of experience working with third party IT vendors and/or systems solution providers
• 4 years of experience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure development environment 
• 4 years of IT experience in the retail industry

• Experience with Db2 for z/OS and associated utilities/monitors

• 3 years of experience with ACF2 and ACF2 for Db2 access control software

• 3 years of experience with mainframe batch workload automation solution ESP

• 3 years of experience with PGP encryption

• 3 years of experience with TPX multi-session manager

• 3 years of experience with Tectia SSH server for z/OS

• 3 years of experience with CA DADS Plus for CICS

• 3 years of experience managing CICS TS within a Db2 environment

• 3 years of experience with Broadcom’s Sysview monitoring suite

• 5 years of experience with mainframe console automation software OPS/MVS
