Appraiser (Commercial Real Estate) conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Appraiser (Commercial Real Estate) performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Appraiser (Commercial Real Estate) uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser (Commercial Real Estate) work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. The Commercial Property Manager reports directly to the Director of Commercial Properties and has ownership of their property portfolio - to manage them as if they were their own.
You will manage a portfolio of commercial properties in the Milwaukee metro area. As the key professional contact with our clients, you will develop, communicate and manage business plans for each property and owner in your portfolio.
Working with an accounting partner, you will provide monthly/quarterly financial reporting to each client and work to achieve financial goals while adding value to the properties through sound management and decision making. Utilizing excellent communication and relationship building skills, you will maintain existing relationships, work to expand those opportunities and leverage that in pursuit of additional clients and business opportunities. Partnering with our maintenance team, you are responsible for the overall well being of the property, coordinating vendors and subcontractors and tracking building operational issues.
