Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. Responsibilities:

Utilize appraisal software and tools to perform property valuations and generate appraisal reports.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather information and address inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of appraisal assignments, including inspection notes, photos, and comparable sales data.
Stay informed about local market conditions, economic trends, and changes in appraisal regulations.
Collaborate with team members and management to ensure timely completion of appraisal assignments and deliverables.
Provide exceptional customer service and professional representation of SMS Appraisal, Inc. in all interactions with clients and stakeholders.
