We are looking for Aquatics Managers to join our 2024 team.

Safeguard Aquatics is now hiring District Managers for our swim facilities in the Westlake area and South Austin area.

This position will be a seasonal position with fulltime hours during the 2024 swim season. Ideal candidates will have previous aquatics management experience and will also have experience leading lifeguard training and lifeguard in-services. Ideal candidates would also have an American Lifeguard Instructor Certification (LGI).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs all lifeguard and gate monitor duties and responsibilities when scheduled as such
• Supervise operations and staff at all assigned districts and/or facilities
• Organize and supervise special events and projects, including courses, conferences, and meetings
• Instruct Lifeguard Certification Courses as assigned
• Assist Aquatics Supervisor team with all in-services and staff trainings
• Perform visits to, deliver supplies, and supervise all staff at all facilities and districts as assigned
• Manage the schedule of all assigned facilities and fill in as lifeguard and/or gate monitor as needed
• Recognize and respond professionally to all emergencies and provide care as needed
• Maintain records and reports as required
• Deal professionally, tactfully, and courteously with all patrons and coworkers
• Report any incidents, accidents, or injuries
• Inspects assigned facilities at opening and closing
• Provides leadership and supervision to lifeguard and gate monitor staff; leads by example
• Assists with pool maintenance and chemicals of all assigned facilities
• Acts as assistant to the Aquatics Supervisor team

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• After school
• Holidays
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Aquatics: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (Preferred)
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
