Hiring Division Manager of Aquatic, Plant Health Care and Irrigation.

We are currently looking for a skilled Aquatic, Plant Healthcare, and Irrigation Division Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and building our Aquatic, Plant Healthcare, and Irrigation divisions. You will manage all techs as well as estimating new work to grow the different divisions. In this role, you will be required to uncover new opportunities by using existing contacts plus new ones to expand our Aquatics, Chemical and Irrigation divisions. You will also be in the field to help train and mold the techs of these departments.
The work schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday and as needed after hours; if needed be available by phone or email, because of job duties. To be considered for this position, you must have a proven track record of employment in a similar role with a verified company that provides landscape maintenance, aquatics, chemical application, or irrigation work.
Responsibilities:
- Train and supervise team members on proper chemical and aquatic treatments and irrigation maintenance techniques.
- Manage day to day schedule and activity of divisions.
- Manage a staff of 4 to 5 tech among the different divisions under your umbrella.
- Develop and implement plant healthcare and aquatic management plans for commercial landscape clients.
- Maintain current client base and upsell work to grow divisions.
- Sell additional work for Aquatics and Plant Healthcare to new or existing clients and hit profit goals.
- Conduct site evaluations to determine the specific needs for each property and build a plan based on the different divisions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of chemical and aquatic treatments and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal results.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including safety, environmental, and labeling requirements related to divisions under your management.
- Maintain accurate records of all divisions and ensure that all required documentation is complete and up to date.
- Order and maintain inventory of all necessary turf/shrub chemicals, aquatic chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Communicate with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices related to divisions and make recommendations for process improvements and new products.
- Travel as needed to new areas to build divisions and grow company.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in management for commercial landscaping.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
- Hands on experience performing the work required of these divisions.
- Chemical handling experience.
- Knowledge of how to price work for commercial clients for chemical, aquatic and irrigation services.
- Strong knowledge of water quality, aquatic plants and animals, and aquatic disease management.
- Strong knowledge of turf and chemical applications.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and best practices.
- Ability to work on a computer and be able to use different software (Microsoft, CRM, Dropbox etc.).
- Ability to train team members on all areas.
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to fix/keep equipment running efficiently.
- Physically able to do the work assigned.
- Familiarity with all regulatory standards and requirements related to these divisions’ management plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership of the divisions under your leadership.
- Ability to grow the divisions with little oversight.
