JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential job functions:

• Perform daily accounts receivable duties including the timely recording of sales and receipts in customer accounts.
• Maintain the customer master file with the appropriate level of detail to enable proper sales and sales tax reporting.
• Review the processing of credits and discounts, ensuring that they are in line with company policy.

• Respond to and resolve clients’ billing issues and questions.
• Communicate with customers and work collaboratively with the sales and customer service team to initiate debt collection by phone, email and other means. Provide additional support by following-up with teams to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Provide the leadership team with information regarding outstanding invoices and the customer’s ability to pay. Work with the Accounting Manager to determine the need for bad debts provisions.
• Prepare customer statements on a monthly basis or as appropriate.
• Maintain organized accounts receivable documentation by customer in local and foreign currencies.
• Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process, identifying areas that can help improve overall performance.
• Interact with internal and external teams to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on billing activities, outstanding balances, and other relevant financial metrics.
• Prepare regular reconciliations of the accounts receivable aging to the trial balance.
• Assist the finance team with monthly forecasting of cash receipts for cash flow management purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration, preferred.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role;

Skills & abilities:

• Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve difficult Accounts Receivables related problems.
• Ability to read, comprehend and explain (to internal and external customers) policies that relate to accounts receivable.

• Detail oriented and patient.
• Ability to multi-task while working with different internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles;
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures in a timely manner;
• Proficient data entry skills;
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
• Team player
•  Exceptional time-management skills; and
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with a proficiency in English

Computer skills:

• Must be proficient in Excel
• Must have experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is an advantage;

Work Environment:

Temperature controlled office environment with moderate noise. Onsite office located at 795 Trademark Dr., Reno, NV

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

BENEFITS

Pay: $28.85/hr - $60,000 annual

Schedule:  8:00AM-4:30PM/8:00AM-5:00PM
