About the role:

• The Designer II actively participates in the specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions.
• Under the direction of the Project Architect or Project Manager, the Designer II is competent in all conventional aspects of architecture and the production of high quality project design, as well as documentation on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Communicate with team, clients and consultant/contractor representatives effectively.
• Proficiency with required computer software (Revit, Autocad, Photoshop).
• Assist Project Architect in coordinating necessary tasks for a variety of projects.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of all project related assignments.
• Prepare and produce design and construction documents, including enlarged millwork details.
• Translate design concepts into floor and furniture plans, building assemblies and material/product specifications.
• Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
• Promote a collaborative team environment.
• Complete research as needed.
• Participate as appropriate in contract administration.
• Travel to Project Job Site or Design Office as required to facilitate design and construction under the direction of the Project Architect.
• Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio and firm.

• Projects similar to client portfolio
• Construction Document experience
