Position Overview :
As a member of the health care team, the CNA / AC Tech assists in providing basic nursing care to patients on an assigned nursing unit according to each individualized patient care plan under direct supervision by the RN or LVN.
The CNA / AC Tech will interact with various hospital personnel, patients, and families utilizing customer service philosophies while maintaining confidentiality.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN :
Six months acute care experience as an EMT II or EMT P preferred
Current experience as a CNA providing direct patient care, preferred
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Basic knowledge of activities of daily living (ADL’s) for all patients.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Excellent communication skills required, and the ability to be flexible, handles a variety of situations while remaining calm and professional.
Ability to utilize basic office equipment i.e. computer, copier, and fax machine.
Demonstrates an understanding of the developmental stages of the neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.

Pay Range is $23.76 to $28.95 / hour
