Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Description:
Train and supervise staff , which may include teachers, assistant teachers, and auxiliary staff such as kitchen staff or bus drivers.
Process enrollment
Keep attendance
Accept responsibility for ensuring that the school is in full compliance with all licensing and state regulations.
Keep students and staff files up to date, including medical and emergency contact information and record of any behavioral incidents. All files shall be kept in a locked cabinet.
Keep records of all staff members to ensure the records are in compliance with licensing and continuing education requirements.
Conduct teacher evaluations and observe the teacher in the classroom and rate his/her performance.
Assist staff in setting and working toward professional goals.
Review teacher's lesson plans.
Keep relationship with parents pleasant, professional and confidential when discussing behavioral issues, injuries or other situations that occur during the day.
Bill and collect tuition payments.
Conduct fire and disaster preparedness drills required by law.
Help and assist with any and all job duties required by all staff as needed.
Visually inspect children for cleanliness throughout the day.
Respond to children's needs by listening for the child cues.
Requirements for the position:
DCF 45 Hour Training (Required)
CDA or Bachelor Degree in ECE (Required)
Director Credential - VPK Endorsed (Required)
Pass or have Level 2 background screening
**Must have at least 2 years experience working in a childcare center as an Assisitant Director or Childcare Director**
