Position Description

The Art Director, Brand Creative will be responsible for creating exceptional digital experiences across a range of digital promotional graphics and print collateral. You possess exceptional design skills and a deep understanding of the online retail industry. This role is half individual contributor and half leader. You will lead and execute design projects from concept to completion by crafting visually appealing, intuitive e-commerce graphics and have a deep understanding of graphic design principles. You provide an elevated and branded design sensibility while working in a fast-paced team environment and will play a critical role in defining and executing creative content.

Responsibilities

• Work with the creative team to execute projects ranging from website & email promotional graphics, mailers, packaging, and art direction of photography & videography, as needed.
• Design, concept and deliver visually stunning designs - presentation visuals, mood/storyboarding, comps, and other creative materials for e-commerce - emphasizing accessibility, and responsive design.
• Design print materials and manage the print process, as needed.
• Maintain and update corporate branding, as needed.
• Ensure visual designs adhere to project requirements, objectives, and timelines upholding brand standards across all touch points.
• Actively communicate with cross-functional partners to understand the strategy and deliverables, and articulate creative thinking behind the design decisions; Identify gaps in current assets and offer recommendations for new content.
• Partner closely with managers in terms of meeting goals and deadlines necessary for the timely delivery of projects and creative assets.
• Possess strong capability to consider a range of applications and audiences for each project.
• Remain current on emerging trends in advertising, digital design, and 360 marketing, and be inspired by current trends in design, art, and culture.

Experience Required

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field. Online certification is not an acceptable replacement for a design degree.
• Must have 7 years of experience as a Visual Graphics Designer.
• Must have 5 years of experience leading teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem solving with excellent attention to detail, and mastery of typography, color, iconography, and spacing in an e-commerce environment.
• Demonstrable experience designing for both web (desktop, mobile, social) and print.
• Comprehensive understanding of printing techniques and print production.
• Conceptual thinking and hands-on design skills.
• Mastery of design tools such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma; with a strong knowledge of print production.
• Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
• Proven experience leading design projects and teams, with the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, efficient, organized, self-starter, highly productive, and collaborative approach to work.
• Adaptability, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new processes and requirements.
• On-set experience for still life and lifestyle photo shoots is required.
