Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Social Media Manager, in collaboration with the creative team, is responsible for developing comprehensive social media strategies that reflect PAMM's mission and initiatives and managing all existing museum social media channels—Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X/Twitter.

    Required Degree: Bachelor’s Degree/4-Year Degree


    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or related field
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in marketing and social media management on behalf of a high-profile brand
    • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably working with subject matter related to arts and culture
    • Developed skills with writing, editing, storytelling, and crafting content for social media, apparent in work samples
    • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, analytics, and best practices
    • Ease working with social media management tools, scheduling platforms, and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, etc.)
    • Strong voice: the ability to adapt the museum’s mission, values, and ethos into a persona that will resonate with the audience of each channel
    • Knowledge of graphic design basics (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, InShot, CapCut, etc.) for content creation
    • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and a self-starter who takes the initiative
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work, with the ability to adapt quickly and pivot based on immediate needs
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as a team player and partner in achieving goals
    • Must have flexibility to work some nights and weekends based on event/exhibition schedule

    Physical Demands:

    • Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

    Ability to hear in normal tones including telephone and face-to-face conversation.

    Essential Functions included, but are not limited to:


    • Oversee social media strategy aligned with the museum's goals, vision, and identity with audience engagement and growth as lead objectives. Also, give guidance for additional accounts such as PAMM Shop and Verde Miami in collaboration with the Creative Content Manager.
    • Plan and execute creative social campaigns to promote museum exhibitions, events, educational programs, special initiatives, and institutional storytelling. Collaborate with other museum departments to ensure effective cross-platform promotion.
    • Actively engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Foster engagement by initiating conversations, encouraging user-generated content, and organizing interactive campaigns. Must have flexibility to check and remain active on PAMM's social media during nights and weekends.
    • Monitor and audit social media metrics, including competitor accounts, and identify opportunities for improvement to inform decision-making.
    • Create an influencer engagement program. Identify and collaborate with artists, influencers, tastemakers, and relevant partners to amplify the museum's reach.
    • Continuously research and explore emerging trends and digital platforms, tools, features, and best practices to enhance the museum's social media presence.
    • Ensure the overall quality of social media content created for the museum.
    • Observe established museum and industry standards and recommend updates to those standards by:
      • Adhering to the museum’s established graphic identity and brand style manual
      • Keeping abreast of developments in web and multimedia design and communication and digital design tools and techniques
