Purpose:
Seeking a strong Market Analyst with knowledge of US generic market to provide strategic insights to leadership in the institutional business. This role will report to Head Marketing - SRx and will require incumbent to work hybrid work schedule (3 days in Princeton, NJ office & 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Regular assessment of current Specialty and Health systems business – generate and provide reports on sales / portfolio / customer mix and analyze trends
- Support product management with timely competitive intelligence and market updates
- Actively manage monthly forecasting exercises and identify potential upsides and risks to our business
- Support Portfolio and Business development teams in reviewing and assessing new product launch opportunities, conduct due diligence and provide business forecasts
- Identify and assess new business channels and areas of growth for the Specialty and Health systems organization, including but not limited to new product categories, technologies and product adjacencies
- Develop specific business plans for new initiatives that are well thought out, contain the proper level of detail and analysis and move them effectively through the review and approval process in the company
- Collaborate with Hospital sales team to develop targeted strategies to expand book of business at key customers and drive sales force excellence initiatives
- Be a thought and execution partner in our Digital Process excellence initiative to drive application and adoption of IT tools in product management
- This role will work regularly with the Head of NA and global corporate development to update the Company on strategic initiatives and prepare presentations for senior management reviews
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical Engineering and/or Sciences. An advanced degree is preferred (MBA / Analytics / Statistics)
- Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge in the US generic business (7 years experience for Sr analyst, 3 years for analyst)
- Previous experience in either a strategic planning, portfolio management, marketing or BD role. A background in consulting or investment banking will be strongly considered.
- Deep understanding of the Health systems, hospitals and clinics space is preferred
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is required with a solid understanding of the regulatory, IP and market environment in the U.S
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to compile and interpret information from multiple sources and functional areas are essential for success in this role
- Excellent grasp of MS Excel and other data manipulation and analytical tools
- Effective and pro-active communicator. Must be an excellent communicator/presenter with very good written and oral skills and experience presenting at very high levels including to senior management
