Overview

Provide support to the Athletic Director of Norfolk Christian Schools in the way of helping to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Norfolk Christian athletic department and all those involved. Assist and guide all coaches and student-athletes and serve as a liaison to the parents, other schools, Middle and Upper School Directors and the Head of School.

• College Degree in Sports Management or comparable
• Experience in Athletics or Coaching, preferably in a faith-based environment
• Proficiency in the 360 Coaching framework by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Essential Duties

• Support the Athletic Director in their support of the overall school’s mission.
• The Assistant Athletic Director will have the responsibility of managing the logistical aspects of athletics at Norfolk Christian School, spanning from the middle school to the high school level.
• Manage scheduling/team management software
• Planning and executing Senior Days at the end of each season
• Coordinating team picture and media days with the Social Media Marketing Director.
• Assist in preparing seasonal coaches meeting information.
• Oversee season by season interest sign ups and post season athlete/parent surveys.
• Assist Athletic Director to plan Varsity Sports Awards night.
• Assist with planning large events such as Seasonal Senior Nights, Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, Physical Nights, etc.
• Input information into the TCIS report weekly
• Game day management
• New coach onboarding process
• Assist with teaching and overseeing student participation in Sports Management Class.
• Coordinate volunteer coverage for all home events
• Coordinate security coverage for all home events where security is needed.
• Update daily announcements and weekly newsletter
• Send weekly email to coaches to outline transportation, volunteer assignments and other necessary information for the coming week.
• Ability to step in for Athletic Director when needed
• All other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
