Assistant Athletics Director oversees daily operations of selected sports program, and the coordination of various administrative functions within the department. May help in fundraising, public relations, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Being an Assistant Athletics Director may have responsibility for the personnel, budget, and compliance with governing rules. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Athletics Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Assistant Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job Duties include but not limited to:
Enrollment and Recruitment of Students
Office Duties including returning phone calls and or email.
Collection of monthly tuition payments
Deposit of Tuition Payments
Reporting incoming funds to the Board Treasurer
Present at monthly board meetings (Currently via Zoom)
Assist in the classroom as needed
Assist with fundraising and grant writing proposals
Desired Characteristics:
Previous Business Experience including grant writing and fundraising
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing
Ability to use a range of computer programs including Quickbooks
Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching staff
First Aid/CPR card or ability to obtain with the first 30 days of employment
Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain with the first 30 days of employment
Compensation/Hours:
The Director’s hours will be 15 hrs a week during the academic year and August. The Director will need to work 5-10 hours per week during July. Pay will be $22 per hour for Director and $19 per hour for the 4 hours of Teacher Aid work on Mondays. We follow the same calendar as Bend LaPine School District for breaks and holidays.
