The Township of Edison is seeking an experienced, highly organized, innovative leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Recreation. Under the supervision of the Recreation Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of activities, community events and coordination of sport/recreation associations within the Township. The Director will also be responsible for managing and maintaining recreation facilities, including allocating field time to the various organizations that use the facilities.
Candidate must be willing to work extended hours and irregular hours as required given the nature of the position (evenings and weekends).
Prior municipal recreation and/or experience desired.
Bachelor’s degree and recreation certifications is a plus or 3-5 years’ experience in recreation.
