The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Campus Life’s mission is to enhance the student experience through intentional opportunities that promote belonging, engagement, and support. The Assistant Director of Campus Life provides leadership and coordination for student development module and curriculum in line with the university's strategy. This position will lead program evaluation, outcomes assessments, reporting of key performance indicators, and annual reporting for Campus Life. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Assistant Director will partner with all areas of Campus Life to enhance the quality and outcomes of student experiences. The Assistant Director of Campus Life will organize and execute programming for families and correspond with families to collaboratively support students. Oversee the development, implementation, and advancement of Camp Cowboy, a summer extended orientation program for incoming students to connect with peers, peer mentors, and campus resources. The Assistant Director will supervise a coordinator that is responsible for enhancing student involvement in co-curricular activities and implementing avenues to intervene with unengaged students. The Assistant Director will serve as a member of the Campus Life leadership team in making decisions, developing goals, and strategic direction for the unit.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Development, Student Affairs, or related degree.
Five years working directly with student development programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five to seven years of full-time experience in student affairs or higher education work.
Experience working with families and parents in the higher education setting.
