The City of Buffalo is looking for talented workers to fill several seasonal positions. We are holding walk in interviews from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. on March 12th and March 19th at City Center Council Chambers, 212 Central Ave, Buffalo MN . This role includes hosting events on site and remotely in parks during the day and/or evenings. General daily and weekly cleaning will be involved. In between events, Seasonal Community Center Staff may assist Park Pavilion Attendants with boat rental operations when help is needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
General Operation Responsibilities Answer the phones promptly and give complete and accurate information regarding Community Center events, rental information, registration practices, etc.Utilize point of sale equipment during the sales of concession items and rentals.Assist and/or lead the set up and tear down of equipment for events. This includes sound equipment, cookware, tables, bounce house and more. Monitor activities in the Community Center during open hours when working alone.Daily surface cleaning of tables, chairs, equipment. Clean as needed the floors, bathrooms, carpets, windows, etc. Ensure all facilities are locked at the end of the day. Ensure daily cash logs are complete and accurate and secure money at the end of the shift.Immediately notify management personnel in the event of a complaint. Performs Other Essential Job Responsibilities Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent verbal communication skills.Enjoys working with all age groups.Sound understanding of customer relations.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within a professional setting.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Must be able to drive city vehicle when needed to events held remotely.Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings and weekends. - 27 Days Ago
