POSITION PURPOSE
The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s VMWare environment which includes using VSphere to setup, configure, move, and monitor servers on the network. He/She is also responsible for the local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), routers, switches, firewalls, and other network connected devices/equipment. The Computer Systems Administrator also serves as direct reporting manager for the System Technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

(Primary or most important functions performed in this position in order of priority.)

(1) Work closely with the Network Manager to support the wired and wireless networks and network connected equipment within the organization.

(2) Configure and troubleshoot server devices in our VMWare environment.

(3) Monitor VMware environment using VSphere locally and the AWS VMC environment.

(4) Maintain and install Microsoft servers including patch management.

(5) Maintain and monitor Active Directory, Azure Directory and Microsoft 365 environment.

(6) Respond to network-related incidents, service requests, and troubleshooting both in-person and remotely.

(7) Work with third-party service provider(s) to investigate and resolve network connectivity incidents promptly using structured Incident Response Plans, including Root Cause Analysis and post-incident review/lessons learned documentation.

(8) Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware and software faults, and other technical problems at multiple locations.

(9) Maintain and monitor backups of servers.

(10) Implement and maintain robust network security protocols, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private networks (VPNs).

(11) Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, security baselines, IP address inventory, and network equipment inventory.

(12) Plan, test and implement network changes, upgrades and configurations using established Change Control processes.

(13) Supervise System Technicians and lead, train, and develop them.

(14) Network Performance Monitoring utilizing network monitoring tools and software to identify and resolve issues related to network latency, bandwidth utilization, and packet loss.

(15) Work with others within IT and 3rd party partnerships to conduct regular security audits and apply necessary patches and updates as required to network connected devices (routers, switches, etc.)..

(16) Work with others in the department/company on IT projects.

(17) Provide on-call network support to end-users including after-hours support.

(18) Seek opportunities to enhance skills and value to the credit union and make suggestions for improvements.

(19) Develop an understanding of rules and regulations of the credit union that pertain to the IT procedures and the credit union’s organization, bylaws and philosophy.

(20) Work on assigned projects or other duties as outlined by the Network Manager or CIO.

(21) Follow and support the Carter Credit Union Core Values.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
