Assistant Director of Finance jobs in Albany, NY

Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience utilizing business systems, processes, and procedures. Experience leading requirements elicitation, documenting as-is processes and coordinating user testing.

Substitution: Seven years of specialized experience; associate’s degree and five years of experience.
J.D. or master’s degree may substitute for one year of specialized experience; Ph.D. may substitute for two years of specialized experience.

PLEASE NOTE: These positions are located in Albany, NY.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, testing staff, IT staff, and internal and external customers.

• Assist in the development and monitoring of training plans. Evaluate results for consistency with business and system requirements.

• Demonstrate strong, professional, respectful communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to analyze complex situations and provide appropriate, logical solutions.

• Monitor completeness, ensuring all issues are resolved in the appropriate time frame.

• Make oral presentations utilizing chars, slide presentations and other visual support devices and techniques.

• Create procedure manuals.
  

• Experience in conducting training for groups of 30 or more.
• Proficient in Cobol programming language.
  

These positions were approved to 9/15/24. An extension beyond this date will be based on operational needs and Civil Service approval.
