ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - LIBERTY MIDDLE SCHOOL

POSITION: Assistant Principal - Liberty Middle School

TERM: 230-day contract beginning July 1, 2022

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the middle school principal, the focus of the assistant middle school principal is to provide innovative, personalized, competency-based learning opportunities designed for all learners, regardless of background or identity. The assistant middle school principal is responsible for providing educational leadership within the middle school; creating a culture of empowerment that supports a growth mindset, self-efficacy, and learner agency; and for directing, supervising, and overseeing all school operations, personnel, and activities. The assistant middle school principal prioritizes building and nurturing strong teams, supporting the implementation of personalized, competency-based learning; and continuous improvement among all educators.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• North Dakota Teaching License and an elementary and/or secondary principal credential
• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with Educational Leadership/Administration preparation
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience
• Prior experience handling student management and behavioral issues with dignity, respect and proper interpretation of organizational policies and procedures
• Possess a strong understanding of school law, rules and regulations, including special education and due process
• Ability to foster a collaborative and positive working relationship with students, staff, and the school community
• Experience working with instructional programming and leading staff preferred
• Experience working in a middle school setting preferred
• Experience with Marzano instructional framework preferred

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education level, the position has a minimum starting salary of approximately $103,000 following the 2022-2023 Administrative Salary Schedule.
The WFPS District funds the entire 11.75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.
