Position Summary:
The Assistant Director, Student Recruitment and Support in the College of Natural Resources implements college-wide recruitment initiatives, with primary responsibility of the three associates degree programs within the Department of Forest, Rangeland and Fire Sciences. The coordinator acts as the primary contact for prospective students and stakeholders within their area of responsibility, including: territory and target market development, communications planning and implementation, administrative and functional tasks, travel and presence representing the college at recruitment event & activities, and enrollment conversion initiatives. The coordinator is responsible for career and academic advising for the two-year degree programs, and is responsible for designated college-wide student service functions. Student service actions include engaging current and future students for the purpose of enhanced educational and professional development opportunities and/or career placement based on activities between past, present and future students. The coordinator conducts outreach activities in the service of students to provide a direct point of contact with college administration, and collaborates with the Director of Recruitment and Stakeholder Engagement for the scholarship awarding process, graduation & commencement process, CNR Living Learning Community engagement, student club & org support, and college stakeholder & employer relation activities.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years work experience in higher education related to student stakeholder activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Evidence of strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to work both independently and prosper in a team environment
- Knowledge and familiarity of all degree programs in the College of Natural Resources
- Knowledge of the University of Idaho and the State of Idaho
- Knowledge of university and college scholarship awarding procedures
- Knowledge of university petition, substitution and waiver processes
- Experience with basic computer business software such as Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in organization, leadership, and management of events
- Experience with design software and developing marketing materials

Must be able to lift, carry and/or otherwise move 50 pounds regularly.

- Requires working evenings and weekends to meet business needs
- Requires a valid drivers license
