Summary:

The Church Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities and events for the church community. This role requires a highly organized and creative individual with a passion for serving others. The aim is to allow participants to enjoy creative expression, socialization and exercise in a religious setting.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and organize activities for members, such as meals, trips, and seminars. Evaluate the effectiveness of church activities and make adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate and lead a youth group, with occasional additional activities such as retreats and mission trips.
• Be visible at local events oriented to families and adult members in the community as a representative of the church and its mission.
• Promote church activities to the congregation and community
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.
• Invite and encourage individuals, couples, and families to worship and fellowship at the church.
• Provide a monthly written report to the Session of activities, hours, goals, and achievements and a yearly report to the congregation.
• Along with the Pastor and Personnel Committee, implement and oversee policies and procedures detailing the safety and well-being of all church members.
• Assist the pastor and choir director in performing their daily and weekly duties.
• Work under the supervision and direction of the Pastor.

• Ability to think creatively, to work independently, and to engage populations of all ages,
• Capacity to create an environment of inclusiveness throughout the community.
• Able to communicate effectively the mission of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
• Can maintain confidentiality and personal boundaries.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• The successful candidate will need a dependable car and a valid driver’s license.
• A college degree in a related field is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15,500.00 - $17,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
