Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse, and provides documentation of same.
2. BCLS required.
3. NRP required within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
4. Cross trained to the specialty area as a C1 or C2 is required.
5. Must keep patients safe.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Documentation which verifies applied for or has obtained the Visa Screen Certification, if applicable
CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. CEN recommended.
2. TNCC required within one year of employment in Emergency Room.
3. HAZMAT Awareness Training within one year of employment in Emergency Department.
4. ACLS current preferred, required within six months of employment in Emergency Department.
5. PALS current preferred, required within six months of employment in Emergency Department.
6. Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG education – post graduation required within one year of employment in Emergency Department.
