Assoc. Professor - Architecture teaches courses in the discipline area of architecture. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Architecture provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Architecture typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors (SSAI) is a growing and dynamic design firm headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking a Project Designer to become an integral part of our team in the St. Petersburg office.
Classification: Full-time, salaried.
Summary: The Project Designer performs design and drawing production for architectural projects.
Job Duties:Produce architectural aspects of design documentation for construction projects. Work assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Code and zoning research
- Schematic design studies
- Design development and construction drawing completion
- Materials and precedent research
- Model studies – digital and physical
- Assistance with design proposals and marketing graphics
- Project consultant correspondence
- Construction administration management
- Attend project and owner meetings as needed
Minimum Qualifications:- Professional Degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office
- Proficiency in 3D visualization software (Lumion, Enscape, Sketchup, Rhino) and Adobe Suite a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management
