Assoc. Professor - Business Administration teaches courses in the discipline area of business administration and management. Professor - Business Administration provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Business Administration typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Summary

    Provides project management support to business to meet department and cross department goals. Responsible for supporting multiple initiatives within a program/portfolio which may include a combination of new and ongoing work. This role will focus on supporting loan administration initiatives, providing project management support, ensuring the smooth execution of loan processing, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders. Performs the day-to day operational requirements of programs (reporting, tracking and communications). Identify and partners with others to simplify and improve processes (such as template creation, data tracking and other deliverables) and participates in the designs of the work.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Perform day-to-day program administration and operational tasks, ensuring compliance and supporting project management decisions regarding scope, schedule, and quality.
    • Coordinate and facilitate loan closings by actively communicating and collaborating with external and internal business partners on a regular basis.
    • Proactively identify and address requirements to ensure smooth and efficient loan closings each month.
    • Identifies and solves a range of problems in straightforward situations. Analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures and developing a recommended approach.
    • Responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives through key project management responsibilities.
    • At the direction of leadership and Sr Business Project Managers, develops presentations and communications.
    • Identify and help implement operational improvements to automate and streamline processes, resulting in efficiency gains and cost savings for the division.
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the key business drivers relevant to the projects. Adapt to internal procedures and establish strong connections with business partner representatives.
    • Effectively communicate information, engage in productive interactions, and negotiate with business partners to deliver solutions and achieve desired results.
    • Identifies improvement opportunities and enhancements for new and existing process that help realize efficiencies and cost savings for the division.
    • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in, Business, Project Management or related field preferred OR a significant amount of directly related work experience beyond the minimum required for the position.
    • Minimum 1 year experience and knowledge in processes and project management to include analysis and documentation.
    • Ability to work with general direction to scope, plan and manage cross-department or multi-department projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage low- to mid-complexity assignments.
    • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Act as a team player and is supportive of group decisions and ideas.
    • Written and oral communications skills with the ability to build rapport within the company, field and /or outside vendors.
    • High degree of personal initiative and motivation.
    • Experience with project methodology through project life cycle phases preferred.

    Compensation Range:

    Pay Range - Start:

    $51,170.00

    Pay Range - End:

    $95,030.00

    Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
