    Position: Central Maintenance Front Line Leader

    Category/Shift: Salaried Full-time - Onsite with Paid Relocation

    Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in manufacturing, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Central Maintenance Front Line Leader. This position offers full-time, onsite opportunities with paid relocation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Spearhead process safety enhancements, emphasizing personal commitment and engagement in safety programs.
    • Manage daily maintenance decisions, including workforce allocation, work prioritization, and financial oversight.
    • Plan, schedule, and execute mechanical maintenance, encompassing quarterly and annual outages.
    • Lead a team of ten mechanical technicians in executing routine and break-in maintenance work.
    • Act as the point of contact for coordinating and executing unscheduled maintenance activities.
    • Supervise contractors during peak workloads, ensuring seamless collaboration.
    • Foster commitment and motivation within a non-union team environment.
    • Facilitate the mechanical crew's safety and efficiency through training, monitoring, coaching, and mentoring.
    • Ensure effective communication between the maintenance team and other mill teams.
    • Oversee work execution within the department and maintain the notification and work order system's overall effectiveness.
    • Coordinate with the MWS team, creating daily/weekly schedules and prioritizing work.
    • Manage all work for the designated area, including contract work, staffing, progress communication, and follow-up to successful completion.
    • Lead troubleshooting, initiate resource acquisition, and address issues promptly.
    • Conduct performance reviews and one-to-one meetings with team members.
    • Lead the mill’s Growth and Development System for the area, focusing on individual and team skill development.
    • Effectively manage crew work hours through Work Brain.
    • Promote reliability efforts, precision maintenance practices, standards, and root cause analysis.

    Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
    • Experience in the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting and leading maintenance activities.
    • Detailed knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulations.
    • Ability to lead in a high-performance team environment.
    • Strong collaboration skills and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Effective decision-making, judgment, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • High organizational skills and ability to interpret maintenance manuals, functional specifications, and engineering drawings.
    • Working knowledge of equipment, trades skills, work execution, and reporting.
    • Ability to work extended hours with short notice, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership, urgency, motivation, and innovation.
    • Proficient in Work Brain and time entry.
