Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of chemical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Job Functions:
- Provide support to Facilities and Maintenance Mechanic
- Read and interpret manuals and work orders in order to properly provide scheduled maintenance and service on all machines and equipment
- Diagnose problems; troubleshoot, replace or repair parts
- Detect faulty operations or defective material and report to Supervisor to determine resolution
- Perform unscheduled repairs of machines and equipment during production
- Perform all required landscape and maintenance on lawn, bushes, trees and weed control.
- Sweep and maintain driveways, parking lots, curbs and dumpster areas
- Clean oil stains from delivery trucks
- Maintain building premises by painting and cleaning
- Maintain all lighting by changing light bulbs and fixtures as needed
- Prepare, clear and maintain walkways and loading docks during inclement weather
- Perform a variety of carpentry, plumbing and landscaping functions
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Prepare and set up machinery for production runs
- Perform simple production and manufacturing duties and responsibilities
- Use internet resources to look up areas that require more knowledge
- Maintain compliance for external inspections (i.e. Fire Marshall, Insurance Company, ISO Audits, etc.)
- Reports any maintenance concerns or unsafe conditions or repairs to the maintenance supervisor.
- Comply with all safety rules
Job Requirements:
- Basic electrical, wiring, carpentry and plumbing
- Use of power tools, use of multi-meter
- Ability to read and follow instruction manuals
Competencies and Authorities:
- High School diploma and/or Trade School certificate
- On the job training
Physical Demands:
This is a very active position where standing, walking, bending, kneeling and climbing can occur on a daily basis.
