Assoc. Professor - Civil Engineering jobs in Washington
Assoc. Professor - Civil Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of civil engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Civil Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Civil Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Responsibilities and Duties
The Civil Engineering Technician shall be responsible for producing construction plans and other technical drawings for site development projects. Job tasks consist of setting up drawings per company standards, drafting redlines in coordination with engineers, back-checking work for completeness and accuracy, and managing plan sets and associated revisions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in drafting/designing site development projects using Civil 3D, surface modeling, corridors, pipe networks, dynamics labeling and plan production functions.
- Minimum 5 years Civil 3D and AutoCAD drafting experience.
- A 2-year Civil Tech Degree is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A personal commitment to excellence.
