Assoc. Professor - Communication teaches courses in the discipline area of communication. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Communication typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Responsibilities:

    • Steer the management of numerous building functions including mechanical, HVAC, structural integrity, landscape architecture, and energy management along with sustainability efforts.
    • Develop and preserve advantageous client relationships to ensure seamless operation and resolution of facility issues.
    • Lead a team through the process of interviewing and hiring, provide mentorship, and uphold high service standards within budget constraints.
    • Administer multiple facets of facilities maintenance operations such as preventative and reactive repair, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Research and deploy new processes and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Guide capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent extensive experience.
    • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with substantial directorial experience in a campus setting.
    • Expertise in managing external vendors and subcontractors.
    • Solid financial insight with proven budget management capabilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills focused on personnel development and team building.
    • Strong relationship-building and superior communication abilities.
    • Comprehensive knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, as well as grounds and custodial services.
    • Clear driving record and a valid driver’s license.

    Desirable:

    • Possession of an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is a plus.
