In addition to general technician duties, the technician will gather medication histories for new hospital admissions, including drug name, dose, route, frequency, indication, and last dose time, while reviewing and updating patient allergies and resolving medication history discrepancies. Information will be gathered through patient interviews, caregivers, retail pharmacies, and other resources, and accurately documented in the electronic health record.
