Professor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Part-time faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned and promotion of a collegial atmosphere.  Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies.  Faculty report directly to the department chair within their respective departments and divisions.  The Department of Computer Science and Pre-Engineering seeks adjunct instructors to teach Computer Science courses.  Adjunct instructors are hired by the department, the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Baton Rouge Community College on a term-by-term basis as needed.
