Drama/Theater Teacher at Prescott High School-Afternoons M-F, 3 classes daily (60% contract)
Position also includes $3,000 annual stipend for directing 3 Drama/Musical productions
Contract year is July 31, 2023 to May 24, 2024 (186 days). Teachers new to PUSD work 5 additional days, reporting July 24 for New Teacher Orientation

Arizona Secondary Teacher certificate required. For otherwise qualified applicants, PUSD can assist candidate in applying for a short-term certificate.
Part-time PUSD employees receive the following benefits in addition to their salary or hourly pay:
- Medical Insurance for employee 50% paid by PUSD valued at over $5,000 per year. Option to purchase for dependents, at PUSD group rates.
- Life Insurance ($50,0000) with option to purchase additional for self and family
- Arizona State Retirement System; district matches employee contributions (appx 12% on top of salary)
- Generous sick leave plan
- Opportunities for additional pay as an after-school club leader or athletics coach, and/or teaching Summer School (all optional)
- Teachers can readily qualify for Proposition 301 funds. Expected annual amount $6,000 , in addition to base salary
Example annual compensation: Base salary $26,000** (60% of full contract, amount depends on experience) Prop 301 bonus $6,000 Drama Productions Stipend $3,000 = $35,000 benefits annually for 186 contract days teaching 3 classes daily, plus 3 annual drama productions.
