Adjunct Professor - Education (Graduate Level))

  • Coker University's Wiggins School of Education invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Adjunct Faculty in Education to teach in the Alternative Pathways to Educator Certification (Coker APEC) Program. This is a temporary, non-tenured position paid on a per-course basis. This posting is designed to establish a pool of instructors for teaching graduate level (master's) courses. Applications are reviewed as openings occur throughout the academic year.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • organizing and presenting subject matter in a meaningful way to achieve intended learning outcomes for students;
    • evaluating student progress and recording student grades and attendance in CobraStop;
    • managing online synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences using BrightSpace and Google Meet;
    • planning and managing engaging class discussions and activities in seated courses;
    • responding to student communications in a timely manner;
    • providing students with constructive and robust feedback in a timely manner
    • following the policies and procedures of Coker University and the Wiggins School of Education

    Qualifications: Doctorate degree in education with experience in curriculum and/or instructional technology; a current South Carolina teaching license; experience teaching online; K-12 teaching experience. Applicants should be passionate about teaching and dedicated to developing meaningful, collegial working relationships with faculty, staff and students.
