Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Description
- Permanent position for a Senior Electrical Engineer for designing the electrical systems of mission critical facilities.
- Design of the appropriately sized generators, switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, PDU’s and other mission critical equipment.
- Design should incorporate reliability and redundancy.
- Apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broad variety of assignments and related fields.
- Responsible for independent decision making regarding engineering methods.
- Use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in individual’s field.
- Supervision and guidance related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
- Consult with supervisor concerning problems and developments.
- Develop test procedures and support the commissioning of electrical equipment.
- BS Electrical Engineering required
- Minimum of 7 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Ability to design in CADD is required and design ability in Revit is a plus.
- Licensed PE is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in the design and commissioning of generators, switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, PDUs and/or similar equipment.
