Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. GENERAL FUNCTION: Utilizing drafting techniques, prepares routine to complex layouts, charts, graphs, maps, engineered designs, drawings and/or diagrams from technical specifications and instructions.

Designs detail of work
Coordinates with other sections when appropriate
Checks drawings when appropriate (which may require entering all areas of production)
Ensures CAD standards are followed
Designs to Bollinger standards and common material where possible
Ensures work meets requirements of applicable Regulatory Body and job specifications
Follows Bollinger standard practices and procedures (i.e. PRN’s, ECP’s, EAR’s, Budget Requests, drawing check out, etc.)
Coordinates with other personnel as appropriate
Incorporates and documents owner, regulatory body, and other governing bodies’ comments
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Good knowledge of design principles and drafting techniques. Some knowledge of manufacturing processes. Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and practices. Ability to work with drafting materials and equipment.
Completion of two years of college level course work equivalent to an AA degree in Industrial Technology or a related field and some to considerable designing experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Levels A, B, and C based on experience.
Level A: 6 yr’s experience
Level B: 3 – 6 yr’s experience
Level C: 0 – 3 yr’s experience
