Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of environmental engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. CMT Project Engineer

    NOVA Engineering is immediately seeking a CMT Project Engineer in our Ft Lauderdale, FL office.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
    • Assisting with project management & reporting
    • Report preparation
    • Client consultation and maintenance
    • Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company. 

    The preferred candidate will have:

    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
    • 5 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials is required
    • Successfully passing the PE exam is required 
    • Strong communication skills
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report
