Job Position: Legal Assistant

Our practice encompasses foreclosure, bankruptcy, appellate and commercial litigation, and real estate transactions, emphasizing compassionate client service and diverse legal perspectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Process average of 500 checks per month
• Forward invoices to Directors if approval is needed
• Process month-end and mid-month checks on or about the 15th and 30th of each month  
• Review and process employee expense reports as needed
• Monitor Accounts payable in-box for vendor invoices
• Filing of AP invoices
  
• Pay Simplifile invoices weekly and/or on the 15th and 30th. 
• Record Time Cost to each file
• Process year-end 1099 for contract vendors due by January 30th
  
• Bill Cost daily to all clients
• Record Broward County ACH DOC Stamps  
• Reconcile invoices for newspaper ads for Notice of Sale and Notice of Action. Code and scan invoices to File so that clients can be billed
• Reconcile vendor statements, identify, research and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to Accountspayable in-box with vendor inquiries
• Process daily checks as needed by departments
• Code invoices according to the company GL chart of accounts
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment

Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and coworkers in a professional manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word.
• Exceptional multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Positive team player with the ability to work independently.
• High-speed and accurate data entry skills.
