Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Industrial Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Applications will continue to be accepted until this date, but those received after the review date will only be considered if the position has not yet been filled.The Chemical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking applications as part of an external, open-level search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor position. The highest priority will be given to candidates with expertise in the field of process systems engineering, broadly defined. However, truly exceptional candidates working in other topical areas of chemical engineering are also encouraged to apply.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)At a minimum, applicants must have completed all requirements for a PhD (or equivalent) except the dissertation (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field by time of appointment.
Preferred qualificationsApplication Requirements by LevelClear evidence of important intellectual contributions and vision for impactful new areas of research in chemical engineering, especially chemical process and systems engineering.
