Professor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare provider, is seeking a Manager Nursing - Medical Surgical to join their team at Swedish First Hill. This full-time position offers relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a unit or group of patient care units within Nursing Services.
    • Ensure 24/7 provision of patient care, adhering to professional, regulatory, and organizational standards.
    • Establish and enforce standards of patient care and nursing practice.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor unit-based quality improvement programs.
    • Track and reduce staff turnover rate through active retention efforts.
    • Advocate for patients, addressing ethical, legal, and cultural issues.
    • Collaborate with clinical nurse specialist and/or clinical educator on educational programs.
    • Handle up to step-two grievances.
    • Demonstrate clinical competence by assisting with patient care and coaching staff.
    • Coordinate patient care delivery daily in collaboration with the healthcare team.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree: BSN from an accredited school of nursing, or ADN with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of hire.
    • Washington Registered Nurse License (Vendor Managed) upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • 3 years recent experience in a related clinical nursing area.
    • Must meet criteria of Registered Nurse.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
    • First-line management experience.
