Assoc. Professor - Liberal Arts teaches courses in the discipline area of liberal arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Qualifications:                

    • Missouri State Teaching Certificate (Head Coach)
    • Substitute Certificate (Assistant Coach)                                    

    Primary Functions:              

    • To develop a program for the students, school and community.

     

    General Responsibilities:    

    • Ensure all paperwork is on file and submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate office.
    • Monitor academics, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Supervise all students under your control.
    • Follow all school and MSHSAA guidelines regarding athletic safety.
    • Work with the athletic director in the appointment and evaluation of assistants.
    • Conform to athletic department policy in ordering equipment and supplies and turning in an end of the year inventory list.
    • Plan and supervise all practice sessions.
    • Conform to activities policies in handling injuries; report all serious injuries immediately to the parents and athletic director.
    • Stay up to date in current coaching philosophies and trends.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with administration, staff members, coaches, players and parents, emphasizing the proper chain of command.

    Report all results to the area newspapers, radio and television stations.
