Assoc. Professor - Mathematics teaches courses in the discipline area of mathematics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Mathematics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.   • The Department of Mathematics in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, seeks to hire two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024.

    Candidates in all fields of mathematics, applied mathematics, and mathematical statistics will be considered.  Candidates should have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate education. A doctoral degree is required at the time of appointment.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $109,250 - $115,300.
