Assoc. Professor - Music teaches courses in the discipline area of music. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Music provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Music typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Marlboro Music, the world’s leading center for the in-depth exploration of chamber music by outstanding professional musicians, seeks a few outstanding people to join our 2024 summer festival team in Marlboro, VT.
Each summer, under the artistic leadership of Mitsuko Uchida and Jonathan Biss, some 80 musicians of diverse ages and backgrounds come together in southern Vermont, living with staff members, spouses, and children to form one large and nurturing musical family.
