    We are seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) to join our team! In this role, you'll play a vital role in patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, filling in when our regular staff takes vacation or needs time off. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in healthcare but desires a flexible schedule.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality radiographs.
    • Position patients accurately for various examinations according to physician orders.
    • Ensure patient comfort and address any anxieties by providing clear explanations and answering questions.
    • Practice radiation safety principles (ALARA) to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
    • Collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and image acquisition.
    • Document patient care procedures accurately and maintain detailed records.
    • Maintain professional competency through continuing education (hours may be obtained on your own time).
    • Prepare reports and manage images within PACS systems.
    • Troubleshoot equipment issues and request repairs as needed.
    • Review completed work daily for accuracy and completeness.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
    • Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) licensure required.
    • Proficiency in spoken, written, and read English.
