Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. What you'll do- Provide compassionate and quality rehabilitation services under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (PT)
Our ideal candidateWe are looking for a PTA who has a heart to serve with a compassionate, engaged personality. This forward-thinking candidate is highly organized and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have completed approved schooling for Physical Therapy Assistants
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required
- Must maintain a good working relationship with other health care professionals
- When low census, must be willing to travel within a 30-mile radius to provide therapy coverage (travel time reimbursed)
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment
- A passion for working with elderly residents
