Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader – Small Parts Machining and Tool Design
As the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing primary technical leadership for the Small Parts Machining and Tool Design operations at our Award Winning Client's East Aurora facility. Overseeing a team of six Manufacturing Engineers, you will guide their daily activities, ensuring support for the assigned shop areas. Your responsibilities extend to overall project tracking, metric adherence, skills gap identification, and resolution, as well as coaching and mentoring the team.
In addition, you will be responsible for overall project tracking, metric adherence, skills gap identification and resolution, along with coaching and mentoring members of the small parts machining and Tool design manufacturing engineering team. You will be part of the manufacturing engineering leadership team that will help develop and execute the future state vision to improve manufacturing processes while meeting or exceeding safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
As a technical expert, you will support the process teams, helping to solve the most challenging problems associated with the manufacture of parts. These problems may arise for any number of reasons, such as tooling, machine tools, gauging, heat-treating, and plating. The solutions to these problems may require the process team solution alone or could result in contacting and working with other members of the Manufacturing Engineering department, Our Award Winning Client Project or Design Engineers, Quality Assurance personnel, M & P Engineers, Inspectors, Product supervision, Purchasing, Product scheduling, or Our Award Winning Client Vendors. As a result, you must not only possess communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people but must also have the initiative to contact and coordinate with other groups as required.
